Country Gravy
Serves: 2 cups
- 3 tbsp. Our Family® Corn Starch
- 3 tbsp. fat drippings
- 1 tsp. Our Family® Instant Chicken Bouillon
- 2 cups Our Family® Whole Milk
- Our Family® Salt and Pepper to taste
- Add instant chicken bouillon to milk and mix thoroughly.
- Heat fat drippings on medium heat (do not overheat).
- Add corn starch to fat drippings and stir to make a roux.
- Slowly add milk stirring constantly and increase heat slightly.
- Constantly stir with a whisk and reduce until gravy becomes thick.
- Add salt and pepper to taste.
Chef’s Tip: Add 1 cup cooked sausage crumbles for extra flavor.
