Becky E – Chili Recipe

Ingredients 

  • 2 15 oz. Cans Our Family Mild Chili Beans  
  • 2 15.5 oz. Cans Our Family kidney beans   
  •  28 oz. Can Our Family Baked Beans 
  • A can of chili starter  
  • 1 14.5 oz. Can Our Family Diced Tomatoes 
  • 1 15 oz. Our Family Crushed Tomatoes  
  • 2 1/2 TBSP of Our Family Chili powder 
  • Our Family Brown Sugar (ingredient used for taste, use whatever amount accomplishes the taste you are looking for) 
  • Our Family Ketchup (ingredient used for taste, use whatever amount accomplishes the taste you are looking for) 
  • Our Family Mustard(ingredient used for taste, use whatever amount accomplishes the taste you are looking for) 
  • 1 yellow onion 
  • 1 green pepper  
  • 1 lb. hamburger  

 

Directions 

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  

  1. Brown and season the meat with onion and green pepper
  2. Put chili beans, kidney beans, baked beans, chili starter, diced and crushed tomatoes, chili powder, ketchup, mustard, and brown sugar together in your crockpot or roasting pan. You can also make it on your stove top. 
  3. Add meat to mixture and give it a good stir. 
  4. Let it cook for 2-3 hours in oven and 30-45 minutes on stove top.
