Sara G – Chili Recipe


  • 2-3 lbs. of ground beef 
  • ½ yellow onion roughly chopped 
  • 2 garlic cloves 
  • Our Family Chili Seasoning Packet  
  • About 8 fresh roma tomatoes or a 10 oz. can of Our Family Tomato Sauce 
  • 3 10 oz. cans Our Family Chili Beans 
  • ¼ tsp. cumin  
  • ¼ tsp. red pepper flakes (omit if you don’t want it spicy) 
  • 1 Jalapeno (deseed if you don’t want the heat) 
  • Salt and pepper to taste  



  1. Add ground beef to a pan and add salt/pepper to taste 
  2. Brown and break up into smaller pieces 
  3. When it starts to become almost all browned add the ½ of roughly chopped yellow onion and two finely chopped cloves of garlic 
  4. Stir frequently  
  5. Drain all possible grease from the meat mixture 
  6. Add finely chopped pieces of jalapeno and stir 
  7. Add chili seasoning packet and then tomato puree and let cook on medium low for about 10 mins 
  8. Add and adjust all seasoning to taste 
  9. Add the three cans of chili beans and let cook on low until the ground beef is as soft as you would like it to be and that it is as thick or thin as you would like
