Fruity and sweet, a delectable pie!
Fresh Strawberry Pie
Serves: 1 pie
- 1 deep dish 9″ pie crusts
- 4 cups fresh strawberries
- 1 cup Our Family® Sugar
- 3 tbsp. Our Family® Corn Starch
- 1 1/2 cups water
- 1 3 oz. package Our Family® Strawberry Gelatin
- Bake pie crust according to package directions, allow to cool.
- Using a food processor, puree 1 cup strawberries until smooth, set aside.
- Hull and cut the remaining strawberries in half; arrange strawberries in half; arrange strawberries on bottom of crust. Stir together the sugar and corn starch.
- Bring water to a boil and whisk in the sugar/corn starch mixture, strawberry gelatin and pureed strawberries, cook for 2 minutes on medium heat while stirring. Remove from heat and pour mixture into crust. Refrigerate 2 hours or until firm. Serve with whipped topping.
