Wow! What a grand sandwich!

Serves: 6

  • 5 ounces pitted kalamata and/or green olives, drained and each cut lengthwise in half (about 3⁄4 cup)
  • 3⁄4 cup drained hot and/or mild banana pepper rings
  • 3 tablespoons Our Family Italian salad dressing
  • 6 hoagie rolls
  • 6 tablespoons Our Family mayonnaise
  • 1 package (4 ounces) sliced Genoa salami
  • 1 package (3 ounces) sliced prosciutto
  • 6 slices Our Family provolone cheese, each cut in half
  • 6 Our Family thin slices ham (about 6 ounces)
  • 6 slices Our Family mozzarella cheese, each cut in half
  • 3 medium vine ripened tomatoes, sliced
  • 1 small Open Acres red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded iceberg lettuce
  • 6 queen pimento-stuffed Spanish olives (optional)
  • 6 toothpicks (optional)

In medium bowl, combine olives, banana peppers and dressing. Slice rolls completely in half. On bottom half of each roll, spread 1 tablespoon mayonnaise. Over mayonnaise, layer 6 each of the salami, prosciutto, provolone, ham, mozzarella, tomatoes, onion, olive mixture and lettuce. Garnish sandwiches with pimento- stuffed olive secured with toothpicks, if desired.
