The tastiest mac and cheese around!

Our Family Loaded Bacon Mac and Cheese

Serves: 6

  • 1 box Our Family® Elbow Macaroni, uncooked
  • 6 tbsp. Our Family® Butter
  • 2 tbsp. Our Family® All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 cup Our Family® Vitamin D Whole Milk
  • 1/2 tsp. Our Family® Salt
  • 1/4 tsp. Our Family® Paprika
  • 1/8 tsp. Our Family® Ground Black Pepper
  • 8 oz. Our Family® Mac and Cheese Shredded Cheese
  • 1/4 cup Our Family® Sour Cream
  • 1/2 cup Our Family® Bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 2 each fresh green onions, cleaned and chopped
  1. Cook macaroni according to package directions. Drain, set aside.
  2. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt Our Family Butter. Add Our Family All-Purpose Flour and stir to combine, creating a paste. Cook for 1 minute. Add milk and whisk constantly to combine. Continue cooking about another minute, or until mixture thickens slightly.
  3. Reduce heat to low. Add Our Family Salt, Paprika, and Ground Black Pepper. Stir to combine. Add Our Family Mac and Cheese Shredded Cheese and stir until cheese is melted and fully incorporated. Remove from heat.
  4. Add sour cream and stir until combined. Add drained macaroni and bacon pieces (optionally, reserve a small amount for topping) and stir to combine.
  5. Rinse and dice green onions. Serve macaroni and cheese, top with green onions, reserved bacon pieces, a dollop of sour cream, and more Our Family Mac & Cheese shredded cheddar cheese.
